Born in Tampa, Florida, I have always had my hand in art. Through the first season of my life I was primarily self-taught through school projects, murals and projects of my own.
During my 20's, I gained valuable experience working in a Florida Art Gallery, where I learned frame design, hands-on framing, and marketing skills through hosting local artist shows.
In my 30's, I started taking community education courses in painting and drawing to supplement what I had learned on my own. In addition, I took on numerous large stage and vacation bible school scenery projects.
It was not until 2001, while in my 40's, that I began my formal training at the Minnesota River School of Fine Art in Burnsville, Minnesota. At MRSFA, I have taken a wide variety of classes to become proficient in cast drawing, illustration, portraits, still life, figures and landscapes. I enjoy studio work as well as plein air painting. I have a passion for drawing which is my foundation of all my artwork. I have learned to build on that foundation using a variety of mediums including charcoal, watercolors, pastels and oils.
In 2004, I co-founded Liberate Ministries where I authored and illustrated my book, “Lady Liberty A Post-Abortive Story of Healing". Currently, I work out of my art studio and am active in promoting my book and speaking engagements.
